Regional Assembly of Members
ILC member organisations are gathered in Regional Member Platforms, ensuring that priorities and actions are relevant to regional and sub-regional contexts, and enabling members to strengthen their sense of belonging to the ILC network.
The Latin America and the Caribbean Regional Members' Platform brings together 66 national and regional organisations of different profiles.
It holds an annual Regional Assembly of Members, either in person or virtually, which constitute key spaces for governance and accountability among member organisations.
As a regional decision-making body, the Assembly decides on the following key issues:
- Definition of regional strategies aligned with ILC's global strategy.
- Approval of the regional interim report, work plan and budget.
- Election of the Regional Committee.

Regional Committee
The Regional Committee (RC), elected by and accountable to the Regional Assembly of Members, ensures that its decisions are properly planned and implemented.
Its functions include:
- Providing guidance on strategies, work plans, budgets and resource mobilisation in the region.
- Representing regional views in the global Council.
- Ensuring that institutional issues are reflected in the work at regional level.
- Advises and oversees the work of the Regional Coordination Unit.
The composition of the RC reflects the geographical and organisational diversity of the organisations that constitute the Regional Membership Platform, ensuring the representativeness of the different People's Organisations that make it up, as well as gender balance.
The ILC LAC Regional Committee is composed of representatives of two geographic sub-regions and four People's Organisations, as well as the regional coordinator, who is part of the RC in an ex officio capacity. Those representing the sub-regions in the RC are also members of the Global Council.
