Weaving knowledge and resistance

This edition will bring together more than 60 participants, including 40 women from grassroots organizations throughout Latin America, Asia, Africa and EMENA.
Participants will learn and exchange about effective actions to advance Women’s Land Rights (WLR) and Gender Justice (GJ). The program includes an in-depth look at successful local initiatives in Montes de Maria and Córdoba; the application of Gender Transformative Approaches (GTA); advocacy strategies, including the Stand for Her Land (S4HL) campaign; and discussions about ILC's Gender Action Plan. The first two days will be attended by government authorities, including representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Land Agency (ANT).
Program Overview:
Day 1: Sessions on Gender Justice, an overview of the WLR situation in Colombia by government representatives, NLC, and the Women’s Coalition. Workshops and discussions on women's land tenure and gender justice.
Day 2: Focus on Gender Transformative Approaches, the Stand for Her Land campaign, and various ILC advocacy initiatives.
Days 3 & 4: Field visits to Cabildo Indígena Zenú Tierra Santa, Montes de María, Canal del Dique, and other significant locations to learn from and engage with local women's associations, including Indigenous communities.
Day 5: Closing ceremonies and participant departures.
